2019 Kigurumi Chronicle

The 2020–2025 volumes are complete. Following the one-year-backward rule, this edition covers 2019 only. The first-party record is concentrated in an official character-kigurumi appearance at AnimeJapan and the adjacent public cosplay infrastructure; undated specialist-event leads are not turned into facts.

Scope and sources

This page covers animegao kigurumi, official IP kigurumi, and directly relevant changing, carrying, photography, and public-display conditions. FGO's notice establishes booth programming; AnimeJapan's page establishes the venue and cosplay area. Participant media and undated archives remain leads.

Verified chronology

March 23–24: FGO lists kigurumi / official cosplayer appearances at AnimeJapan 2019

Fate/Grand Order's official notice confirms AnimeJapan 2019 at Tokyo Big Sight on March 23–24 and places the FGO booth in East Hall 6, J73. Its March 11 update explicitly lists “kigurumi / official cosplayer appearances” as booth programming.1

This is direct evidence of an official kigurumi node. The source does not label it a specialist animegao event, so this archive does not enlarge the claim; it records an official character-kigurumi presentation in a public anime convention.

The same event: Cosplayers World as adjacent public infrastructure

AnimeJapan's Cosplayers World page confirms the event at Tokyo Big Sight East Halls 1–8 and its cosplay participation arrangements.2 It does not establish that all participants were kigurumi performers. It is retained as infrastructure evidence for the public access, changing, carrying, and photography conditions on which full-head practice can depend.

De-duplication and conclusion

This volume retains only the 2019 official appearance and venue context. The cancelled 2020 FGO plan, the 2021 hybrid recovery, and the 2022–2025 greetings, specialist events, and safety rules stay in their completed volumes. Surviving specialist pages without a verifiable date, place, and outcome are not backdated from later sequence numbers.

The modest but durable conclusion is that official character kigurumi was already an explicit public-convention program, while general cosplay infrastructure formed its adjacent operating environment. This is not a complete specialist-community history; the remaining gaps are preserved as research gaps.
