October 9-12: Tokyo Game Show 2008 took place

The overview places the exhibition at Makuhari Messe and opens October 11-12 to the public. The closing report gives a four-day attendance of 194,288, including 71,639 and 71,166 people on the two public days. ¹³

These figures establish only the scale of the general exhibition. They are not counts of kigurumi, animegao, or cosplay participation. This archive does not estimate a specialist community from total attendance or automatically classify display characters on a hall map as enthusiast kigurumi activity.

The public visitor archive does not yet form a citable kigurumi rules chain

The 2008 visitor navigation and floor map document public exhibition space, but they do not provide citable instructions for cosplay, changing rooms, cloakrooms, photo consent, or large kigurumi. ¹²
