This is a monthly collection page, not the final 2026 chronicle. Research is current through 08:50 on August 31, 2026 (Asia/Shanghai). A continuing event receives a status update, not a copy of rules and announcements already recorded in July.

August 29-31: post-event DW14 records and new daily-life / workshop material

At 05:09 on August 29, the Doll_Weekend organizer account published the four-hour-plus “Invite 100 dolls to play games; only one can take the prize,” tagged group game, Doll Weekend 14, and kigurumi. At 20:28, Co视 published the 34-minute-19-second “DW14 Kigurumi exhibition extended documentary.”4 These extend the source chain from short clips and participant retrospectives to an organizer-account program record and sustained documentary coverage. “Invite 100” describes the program framing; it does not establish actual attendance, de-duplicated identities, or total event scale. As of August 31, the organizer page still retained stale ticketing status and supplied no closeout statistics.3

Within the same window, 咩咩酱Kig published a 25-minute-31-second first-kig-experience vlog tagged Kigurumi, kig, head shell, and shopping mall. 甜心ヒドラジン published a 20-second first kigurumi birthday post tagged life record, birthday, kig head shell, and kigurumi.4 They are retained respectively as newcomer experience and social daily life. Public metadata establishes release time and publisher framing, not shooting date, a general experience, or private participant identities.

At 19:41 on August 29, 冷芙科技社kigurumi published the 2-minute-44-second “Kig fan: this time it is different,” with tags for head-shell fans and cooling; the description explicitly says the test data are for reference and warns that DIY modification carries safety risk. At 20:04 on August 30, 冉月剧团Umoon published a 57-second commissioned head-shell showcase tagged original, craft, head shell, kig, and kigurumi.5 The first is a substantive workshop / safety signal, but is not rewritten as a tutorial without construction, measurement-method, and electrical details. The second supports a finished-work record only; materials, commission terms, and technical priority are not inferred.

August 27-28: DW14 interaction retrospective and practical clothing topics

At 22:17 on August 27, 夜雪千沫Channel published a 4-minute-50-second DW14 photo-collection retrospective whose title, description, and tags directly identify Doll Weekend 14 and kigurumi. The description compares the publisher's DW13 and DW14 collection counts and reflects on becoming less socially anxious. Those figures are the participant's account of their own photographs, not event attendance, de-duplicated identities, or organizer statistics.9 The digest therefore records a public interaction retrospective and personal social experience without listing or identifying the people photographed.

At 00:02 on August 28, 晴风雾雨 published a 33-second “DW14 millennium group runway excerpt.” The description says that it was clipped from the Doll Weekend account, and Bilibili metadata marks it as a repost; tags include kigurumi and kig.9 It adds evidence that a runway excerpt entered public circulation, but does not establish the complete program order, participant list, or permission for the source footage. This site neither embeds nor copies the clip.

At 00:12, 三哥很danger published a 54-second “Does Specter's leg ring really fall off this easily?” with a kigurumi tag. At 01:23, Al1cks published a 15-second “Trying the tenth-anniversary performance costume,” tagged for clothing, styling, and kigurumi.9 They are recorded respectively as a costume-accessory stability topic and a new-costume daily-life post. The descriptions supply no securing method, material, dimensions, or test conditions, so neither becomes a repair tutorial or general conclusion.

August 21-25: DW14 records expand from three dates to a specific talent performance

Doll Weekend's official page continues to list DW14 for August 21-23, 2026 in Huizhou, Guangdong, under the theme “Dreaming Back to Lingnan.” At the August 31 review, it still displayed ticket links and specifically marked DW14 recruitment as active, so the page had not received a post-event status update.3 The four first-day clips and long-form recording obtained before August 23 continue to establish public participation records for Day1.6

On August 24, 一蓑烟雨f published “DW14 Day1 retrospective,” “DW14 Day2,” and “DW14 Day3” from one account. All three public metadata records carry kigurumi and Doll Weekend 14 tags, and the Day3 description says DW14 had ended. Yo桜の御離 separately published “Like a dream: until next time, DW14.”7 The three-day sequence plus an independent post-event retrospective updates the evidence from “day one only” to “public participant records span all three dates.” These remain participant-generated records: they do not establish the organizer's full program, exact attendance, or formal closeout, and the digest does not infer scale, identities, or unpublished arrangements.

On August 25, 废材na想吃烤鸭肉 published a 5-minute-41-second DW14 doll talent-performance recording. The title directly names kigurumi and Doll Weekend, the tags include dw14 and kigurumi, and the description says that the publisher choreographed two songs for a DW performance.8 This is the first item in this source chain to identify a specific public program rather than participation on a given day. It remains participant-published material and does not establish a complete program, official recording rights, or completion of every performance.

August 26-27: DW14 logistics and head-shell making notes add new evidence

At 16:19 on August 26, 是慎某人 published a 4-minute-41-second DW14 retrospective. The description self-identifies the publisher as a member of the PV staff and says they participated throughout setup and teardown; public tags include DW14, dollweekend, kigurumi, and head shell. At 18:00, 整颗纱露朵 published the 26-second “What was in DW14's afternoon tea,” tagged tips, tutorial, logistics, kig, and Doll Weekend 14, but with an empty description.10 The first supports a staff-perspective logistics account. The second establishes only that a logistics topic was published, not an inventory, supply standard, or organizer procedure.

The retrospective title says “one thousand people,” while its description calls this the largest edition to date and mentions a region for the next edition. These are publisher statements. At the August 31 review, Doll Weekend's official page still marked DW14 recruitment as active and supplied no closeout statistics or next-edition announcement.3 The digest therefore does not convert those statements into official attendance, a record, or a confirmed schedule.

At 23:08 on August 26, 雲玖久 published a 1-minute-9-second new head-shell unboxing tagged kigurumi and kig; the description is only a hyphen. At 01:34 on August 27, -SUCE- published a one-minute failed-experiment note tagged kigurumi and head shell. Its description says the concept is compatible with flatter products such as mh180, but that its function conflicts with the original intent, and the series may not continue.11 The first is retained only as a new-object / unboxing daily-life signal. The second is a workshop signal about failure and compatibility, but the metadata does not establish the device type, construction, materials, or a general conclusion.

August 25-26: public-space daily life and a discussion signal

Bilibili's public metadata dates “Kigurumi: meeting another self at Eastern Suburb Memory” to August 25 at 16:07, names Adriano枫斓 as publisher, gives a duration of 1 minute 34 seconds, and includes a kigurumi tag.12 The title supports classification as public-space daily life, but the metadata establishes publication time rather than a shooting date. The digest does not identify the performer or disclose a more precise location.

At 02:17 on August 26, 光猫-爱丽丝 and collaborating account 海南KIG次元联合社 published the 25-second “Doll-community cortisol,” tagged life, kigurumi head shell, kig, and cortisol.13 This is a public monthly discussion signal. Its description is only a hyphen, so the title cannot support claims about community psychology, stress levels, medicine, or survey findings. The digest records that the topic was published, not that its wording is an educational fact.

August 23: a blinking head shell receives a wearing and internal-detail showcase

Bilibili's public metadata dates “Wearing a blinking head shell + internal-detail showcase” to August 23, 2026 at 17:02 (Asia/Shanghai), names 真爱你的辣条 as publisher, gives a four-minute duration, and includes kigurumi and head shell tags.18 The title and tags support classification as a monthly workshop / craft and educational lead. It also supplies a wearing and internal-structure angle absent from the August 14 finished-work clip.

The public description is only a hyphen. It does not identify materials, eyelid drive, controls, maker, or whether the structure is original. The digest therefore records a new technical showcase, not a tutorial, product review, or technical first. Blinking head shells are not presented as a concept first appearing this month.

August 14: HaiDolls published a kigurumi finished work showcase

Bilibili's public metadata dates “kigurumi finished work showcase” to August 14, 2026 at 12:00 (Asia/Shanghai), names HaiDolls as the publisher, and gives a duration of 16 seconds.17 No matching BV identifier or title was found in the site, so it is included as a new monthly finished-work showcase / daily publication.

The public description is empty, and the metadata does not identify the character, mask materials, workshop process, or commission relationship. The digest therefore does not expand “finished work showcase” into a tutorial, review, or workshop profile. One short video does not justify a separate workshop section; later process or materials documentation can extend the same source chain.

WCS 2026: the official championship result is confirmed; the overall event status is not updated

WCS's official championship site now carries a “WORLD COSPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP 2026 — RESULTS” page listing the top three, special awards, and 40 participating countries and regions. Page metadata says it was published on August 21 and modified on August 22.2 This first-party result is sufficient to confirm the championship component, correcting the earlier statement that no organizer completion record had been found. The winners and 40-team figure belong to the general cosplay championship and are not rewritten as kigurumi participation statistics.

The main event page and structured data still list July 31 through August 2 in Nagoya, set endDate to August 2, and retain EventScheduled.1 The conclusion is therefore precise: the championship result is confirmed, while one component result page does not prove completion of every associated program. Full-face costume, photography-consent, and heat-risk rules were already documented in the July 2026 digest and are not repeated here.

Tracked without duplication

  • The Doll Weekend × KIGURUMI three-city photo project is already recorded across July and August. On August 23, its official page still marked it as in progress; gallery additions remain updates to the same project, not separate nodes.14
  • Search results surfaced a “Kigurumi beginner's guide,” but Bilibili's public metadata dates it to January 21, 2026, not August. The Kigurumi handbook homepage also retains a roadmap note dated September 17, 2024. Both are existing educational leads and are not presented as new monthly publications.1516

This review extends the existing DW14 source chain with an organizer-account long recording, documentary, and newcomer / birthday daily-life posts; adds a head-shell cooling experiment and workshop finished work; and uses a first-party WCS result to correct the championship status. The material still belongs in the monthly digest and does not justify a new site-wide domain. A later WCS whole-event summary, official DW14 closeout statistics or program, clothing and head-shell materials / construction documentation, or community research with methods and a sample will update the original source chains rather than create duplicate daily pages.
