This is a monthly collection page, not the final 2026 chronicle. Research is current through August 9, 2026 (Asia/Shanghai). A continuing event receives a status update, not a copy of rules and announcements already recorded in July.

WCS 2026: official date window elapsed; actual completion remains pending¶
WCS's official page and structured event data continue to list its Nagoya program for July 31 through August 2, 2026, with endDate set to August 2 and status still marked EventScheduled.1 The August 9 review found no updated status field or organizer summary, so only the official calendar window can be said to have elapsed. This is a status correction, not a second event entry, and the date alone does not prove that every program took place.
No organizer summary or independent retrospective sufficient to establish completion was found by the research cutoff, so the event is not described as completed. Full-face costume, photography-consent, and heat-risk rules were already documented in the July 2026 digest and are not repeated here.
Tracked without duplication¶
- Doll Weekend 14's August 21-23 Huizhou announcement is already in the July page. On August 9, its official page still marked recruitment as active; the dates and place were unchanged, so no duplicate entry is added.2
- The Doll Weekend × KIGURUMI three-city photo project is already recorded across July and August. On August 9, its official page still marked it as in progress; gallery additions remain updates to the same project, not separate nodes.3
- Search results surfaced a “Kigurumi beginner's guide,” but Bilibili's public metadata dates it to January 21, 2026, not August. The Kigurumi handbook homepage also retains a roadmap note dated September 17, 2024. Both are existing educational leads and are not presented as new monthly publications.45

This review produced no separately recordable new node and does not justify a new topical section. Later WCS completion material, evidence from DW14, or new craft and research sources will update this monthly page rather than create duplicate daily pages.
