2014 Kigurumi Chronicle¶
The 2015-2025 volumes are complete. Following the rule to avoid completed years and move backward one year at a time, this edition covers 2014 only. Verifiable first-party material is concentrated in AnimeJapan 2014's organizer report. Specialist gatherings without a reliable date, place, and outcome are not converted into facts.
1. Evidence boundary¶
This volume uses AnimeJapan's organizer-maintained 2014 post-event report. It establishes the event dates and venue, character-kigurumi interactions, and the operation of Cosplayers World's indoor and outdoor photography areas and costume rental.1
AnimeJapan is a general anime convention, not a specialist animegao kigurumi event. The report explicitly calls the Doraemon, Sgt. Frog, and other character appearances “kigurumi,” but does not identify ordinary Cosplayers World participants as animegao. This volume therefore separates official character kigurumi from public cosplay infrastructure usable by full-head character costumes. Ordinary cosplay photographs and total visitor traffic are not treated as evidence of animegao participation.
2. Verified nodes¶
March 22-23: character kigurumi become a scheduled public interaction in Family Park¶
AnimeJapan 2014 ran March 22-23 in Tokyo Big Sight East Halls 1-6. The organizer report says Family Park's interaction stage presented Doraemon, Sgt. Frog, and other character kigurumi in sequence. Families, adult anime fans, and couples joined commemorative photographs and handshakes. An adjacent photo area displayed character dolls including Crayon Shin-chan and Raccoon Rascal.1
This is an official-character or mascot context, not an animegao participant event. Its chronological value is narrower: by 2014, character kigurumi had been organized at a general anime convention as a public program centered on photography and handshakes.
March 22-23: Cosplayers World's indoor and outdoor photography infrastructure operates¶
The same post-event report confirms that Cosplayers World operated both indoor and outdoor photography areas. The indoor area supplied sets and backdrops tied to titles including Kantai Collection, Attack on Titan, and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. The outdoor area drew anime, game, and manga cosplayers and photographers, including international participants. With support from ACOS and COSPA, the event also offered costume rental for JPY 1,000 per hour, giving first-time cosplayers a public entry route.1
These facilities do not establish the presence or number of animegao kigurumi participants. They are retained only as a verified baseline before the 2015 report's statement that changing and outdoor areas expanded from the previous year. The 2015 volume continues to own the later expansion, registration and storage fees, movement controls, and photography rules.

The existing chronicle, daily-life/discussion, and reference/education structure is sufficient. Two related programs within one general convention do not justify a separate event, craft, or academic section.

5. Annual conclusion¶
The verifiable 2014 record is not a specialist animegao event list but two distinct public practices. Official character kigurumi handled photographs and handshakes in Family Park, while Cosplayers World's indoor and outdoor areas, title sets, and costume rental formed public cosplay infrastructure. The two must remain separate. The organizer report proves that these programs operated, but not the presence of animegao participants, a specialist gathering, or community scale; those gaps remain open.
